Today was a great day! It started with a 40 minute workout on the treadmill and elliptical while I started catching up on the final seasons of downtown abbey.  I have found its much easier to get through my run if I am focused on something else. I downloaded the amazon prime app and stream shows through it.  I can't wait to watch the rest of the episode I started today during my work out tomorrow.  If you struggle to get through your cardio on a machine, try downloading a movie or watching a show off an app like I did today, it helps you get through the workout. Does anyone else have ideas on how to get through cardio on a day when you feel like quitting?

I found some new recipes today off of a fellow juice plus consultants pinterest. I made the smoothie tonight to drink in the morning and I am going to make the cookies for an event this weekend.

Sorry I am behind on my posts. I was traveling all last week and did not have time to post. I did take my small personal blender and shake mixes with me so that I could stay on track while I was gone. I did have a few cheat meals (how can you not when you are out with a group of people) but overall I did a great job staying on track.

This week I started a new 14 day shred. Today I had a pumpkin smoothie for breakfast, protein bar for a snack, small salad for lunch and a light dinner. My workout for today was 12 min on the treadmill, 15 min on the elliptical and then arms on the trx. Tomorrow's workout will be running on the treadmill and sit ups....not looking forward getting up but it will be worth it.

Here a few recipes I found for juice plus. I have made the pudding before but am going to be trying the others for the first time. I hope everyone has a great Weds.

You Like Apples? Try this cinnamon apple shake!!

Happy Thursday! I got up and got a work out in. If you haven't heard of Emily Skye, look her  up on facebook, she has the most amazing workouts already but together and her followers have seen amazing results. I ran for 15 minutes and then did a lower body workout from her facebook page then followed my workout with my yummy cinnamon apple smoothie (recipe is below). Today will be an emotional day for our family and I wanted to make sure I had energy to get through it. I hope everyone has a great day.

"Nutty" for Nutrition

Happy Tuesday! I got myself up and out of bed in time to go to the gym this morning and now am sitting drinking my nutty butter shake..it is one of my favorites.

Last night my daughter wanted some chocolate so I made her a nutty butter juice plus shake. She loved it......I bet she wouldn't love it if she knew all the nutritious stuff she was drinking lol.  I felt so good about the fact that although my daughter was getting a chocolate snack, that snack was jammed pack with nutrition. Remember that every little step you take towards a healthier lifestyle counts.

Have a great day. Shake recipe of the day is of course the nutty butter one and the food recipe is salmon and avocado boats. I have wanted to try these for a long time and tonight is finally the night!!!

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Kind of Morning

I was lazy this morning and didn't make it out of bed to work out before work but I did make a delicious pumpkin smoothie for breakfast and bring my pumpkin yogurt and other juice plus treats for my snacks today.

Sunday Funday

My daughter and I did some juice plus baking and meal prep this morning. I am doing a mini shred this week before I leave town for 6 days a week from today for work.  The recipes were easy to follow and everyone at the bbq we went to loved them. We made the following all using Juice Plus mixes:

  • Pumpkin Pie Protein Balls
  • Allergen Free Pumpkin Spice Yogurt
  • Banana and chocolate chip cookies
  • Allergen Free Brownies
